We love the Zoo!!

We bought memberships to the zoo this year and I think it's going to be money well spent.  It's so nice to get there right at 10:00 and leave after an hour or two.  Alyssa's favorite part were these little red birds that would run back and forth along the window.  Alyssa would run after the birds trying to catch them laughing the whole time.

15 Month Appointment

Alyssa loved the waiting room but quickly realized where she was once we made it to the back.  She wouldn't let me put her down.  She weights 19 lbs 13 oz (25th percentile) and is 29 inches long (10th percentile).

Alyssa & Kaylee

Jennifer and her daughter Kaylee came over for a little swim a few weekends ago.  It took Alyssa a little while to warm up to the idea but she had fun watching Kaylee splash around.

Dance Machine

My cousin Luke got married a couple of weekends ago and Alyssa was a big fan of the dance floor.  She loved dancing with Reed and was very upset when I made her get off.  Wish Jimmy could have been there to see her get down.

PK Weekend

This past weekend we finally got to celebrate Easter with some of our closest friends.  Alyssa got to go on an awesome egg hunt and take her first ride on a boat.  Don't be fooled by the pictures below...she hated the boat.  Thank you Rick and Debbie for a fun filled weekend!!

NICU Reunion

Every year Jimmy and Amy are asked to present the Lois Stanley Volunteer Recognition Award at the annual NICU Reunion.  This award is given to the individual or group of individuals who volunteer numerous hours in the Neonatal ICU.  It's hard to believe this is the fifth year to present this award.

Weekend Outdoors

We took Alyssa to the zoo for the first time this weekend, she was a huge fan and was pooped by the time we made it home.  She loved feeding the birds and as she does with everything else she tried to give it a kiss.  

We also went to watch daddy run the warrior dash.  I don't know what I was thinking but it wasn't as kid friendly as I had imagined.  Jimmy came out alive so all in all it was a good race.  Afterwards, we headed to the Haskin's house where we relaxed in the hot tub while eating pizza.  It was such a fun and relaxing evening.

Happy Easter

Easter was exciting this year.  Alyssa had her first Easter egg hunt and daddy enjoyed all the candy she was able to find.  She loved picking up the Easter eggs and over the past week we have continued to find Easter eggs all over our house. Alyssa loves playing with them. 

12 Month Check-up

Our little girl is now considered a toddler and while part of me is sad, I do love watching her grow and learn everyday.  At her 12 month appointment, she weighed in at 18 lbs 9 oz (25th Percentile) and 28 inches long (15th Percentile).  She's a tiny little girl but the pediatrician assured me she was very healthy.

I haven't been very good at posting Alyssa's accomplishments but here's what she's up to these days.  Alyssa learned to walk at 10 months and crawl at 11 months but still only crawls when she absolutely has to.  She LOVES to give kisses and has just learned how to blow kisses.  She waves as soon as she hears the word "bye" and points at everything.  Books are one of her favorite things right now, if she see's one she'll bring it to you and try to sit in your lap.  She has learned the sign for more but clearly doesn't understand what it means.  She's up to five words (Dada, Mama, Doggie, Kitty and Thank You).  She knows where her belly button is but prefers to show me mine.  It amazes me how quick she's growing up!!

Watch Out!!

Alyssa got some wheels from our good friends Jenny and Travis for her first birthday.  She has figured out where the button is but hasn't yet learned how to steer, which means we have to be right by her side.  The video dosen't show it but she loves to make it stop and go.
